ABC News Anchor Peter Jennings died today at his home in New York City. He was 67. On April 5, Jennings announced he had been diagnosed with lung cancer.

He is survived by his wife, Kayce Freed, his two children, Elizabeth, 25, and Christopher, 23, and his sister, Sarah Jennings. May his soul rest in peace.

He was a greater reporter and an anchor. He was the reason for me tuning in to The World News with Peter Jennings every night to get the news with some apt analysis at 6:30PM.

A high school drop-out, obviously never went to college, yet went on to become an incredibly learned and knowledgeable man. His style -- his charisma and his eloquence -- coupled with vast wealth of knowledge on other cultures he acquired through his travels around the world made him an icon in American news telecast.

He is one of the finest role models that I will dearly miss.

He was a charismatic broadcaster with vast knowledge about the world. He will be missed by many. May his soul rest in peace!!

Gawd! He was hansome! You will be missed Pete boy. Your cool and calm manner, your James bondish look etc etc ( about the news - I could get that from anywhere).On another note. After I heard on the radio of his passing I switched on the TV the next day. I think it was Larry King Live. Barbara Walters was on it. AND WHAT'S up with her face? My god. Her face is so stretched one of eyes is displaced. Grotosque. Why do women of her stature make such a fool of themselves? Why the need of looking perenially wrinkle free? Why so obsessed with looking unnaturally young?? I guess that is a question for Stiffler. Anyway. whatever! I am tired.
