Also, transferring chase points to american allows you to book round trip flights to Nepal with free layover in Thailand or other nearby countries for just 80K points.

You're right dalle. Looks like they removed the year 1 fee waiver when they changed bonus from 50K pts to 60K pts. Stupida - I will get 7.5K pts in referral bonus. You have to get approved though.
