हिजो परेको पानिले गर्दा आज ठीक समयमा खेल शुरु हुन सकेन। पहिलो session cancel भयो। अब नेपाली टाइम ८:१५ मा pitch inspection हुनेछ। यो गेम नेपालले जित्नै पर्छ, draw भएको खण्डमा नामिबिया क्वालिफाइ हुनेछ। आशा गरौंकि गेम छिटोनै शुरुहोस्

the first day's play has been washed out completely. This particular report says that whoever gains the most bonus points in this game goes thru to the next stage, but according to previous reports nepal had to win outright to get thru to the next round. a draw means namibia goes thru. for the past few years, nepal has been getting the short shift when it comes to international competition. we were kicked out the asia cup earlier, and now despite being ranked 7th overall amongst associate nations in the long form of the game, we have to go thru this biased qualifying process to get into the intercontinental cup competition.

according to the first report filtering in at Nepal Cricket,Nepal won the toss, put Namibia in and after 12 overs, Nam are 18/0.
In the previous versions of the ICC Intercontinental Trophy, teams batting first were allocated a maximum of 90 overs each for their first innings. However, those were 3-day matches. The current match is a 4-day contest, so i believe that this over limit is slightly higher. exactly how much i dont know, but i would guess 105-120 overs.
In any case, if we put Namib in, the pitch is likely to be aiding the seamers and 18 runs in 12 overs seems to indicate the bowlers are on top of things
would have been happier to see a higher number in the wickets column tho

if anyone out in england knows anything about this, relavant details would be highly appreciated
