The current hype about the photographed blackhole is truly worth it. For starters, itтАЩs light came from a galaxy (M17), 500 million lights years away. That means the moment captured is older than humanity. The black holeтАЩs image wasnтАЩt taken as a normal photograph. It was formed from the merging of thousands (if not millions) of tiny light particles collected in the radio spectrum by the Event Horizon Telescope.
