Close-up pictures like these beg the question: have the Maoists been infiltrated? By whom and for how long?

Didn't Maoists denounce religion? Did they not authorize people to eat beef or fed them forcefully? Did they not once raid a religious institution and cut the "janai" and "tuppi" of every student there? So why does this terrorist Prachanda have tika on his forehead? May be he still believes in hinduism.

I think M. B do not believe in the religious rituals. This one woman was married for only four months and her husband died and they did not let her do all the 13 days rituals that hindus do. I was there and feel bad for the young widow.

Also I heard in the western part of nepal sometimes they force to eat beef ( gai ko masu not ranga).

Its a close-up photo! How did they get it? If it was the left-over photos the army found after a raid, as someone has said above, they were not very far from capturing him then.

And what has happened to his stomach? I thought he would be thin and lean by having to walk thru the hills and valleys. But it seems, he is having a good time. And the tika on a maoist's head?

Not only Prachanda, but someone sitting behind him in the first pic (I beleive that is Badal) is also sporting a Tika on his forehead. Have they become religious overnight?
