The U.S. military budget for Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 is a proposed record-breaking $1.5 trillion. This historic blueprint follows the $1 trillion enacted for FY26. If passed by Congress, it will represent a 42% increase over previous funding levels, focusing largely on defense industrial expansion, a massive surge in drone production, and next-generation missile defense.
