More then 200 years of royal rule is about to end in Nepal. Prithvi narayan shah United Nepal and since then many thing has happened in this United Nepal. The royal palace has had the direct rule on the country until the revolution in 2005 where king had no other choice then to give the power to the people. Since then the royal palace has been stripped with power and commands to the royal Nepali army. Nepali people seems to be happy with it, and the politicians are in a hurry of changing the Nepal’s logo, national anthem and the governments name before even restoring peace across the country and creating a new government. Yes every thing has changed in Nepal and, it seems like these new leaders have now something new to play with and to celebrates. Bring their new dreams to reality. But History is also something we should keep. King Gynendra is the most unpopular king in our history, and crown prince Paras is even more unpopular. There is no way any Nepali would accept King Gynendra or his descendent in Nepal’s thrown. Late king Birendra on the other hand was a very popular king, loved by people. People would have accepted Brirndra as a king and head of the state, and perhaps Nepal would still have a royalty. To all Nepali people and politicians, why not change the law and make the 5 year old daughter of late princess Sruti (Birendra’s daughter) head of the state; Crown her, First ever Queen of Nepal. I am sure Nepali people would accept Birendra’s descendent in the thrown of Nepal, and investigate the royal massacre of June 2001 and bring the guilty party to justice. (We all know who did it, and who was behind it.) The royal palace should not have any influence in politics what so ever. They are only to be the representative of Nepal and head of the state. Keeping Nepal’s history alive. This way Nepal will have a women as a head of the state, an example for the most of the world that we Nepali are not backwards. And a queen fighting for women’s rights in Nepal would just something. Let New Nepal's government fire king Gynendra and his descendent and Crown the descendent of Birendra instead, so the royal palace still represents the various cast, culture, language, and races of Nepal as one binding knot. Jai Nepal

If any one is a reporter or have apolitical influence, bring this massage of my to The Nepali people in Nepal and the politicians. After all electing a president, who can say that president is not and asshole, and even more corrupt. But if it we have a Queen as a head of the state we both keep the crown and we know who she is. Instead of electing another asshole ever 5 years or even often.

why r u so much into keeping the monarchy. As far i feel there is no use for any monarchy in Nepal. As far as the notion of it symbolizing a united Nepal, representing all Nepali of diff. race, gender and generations is just a lame reason. A governing system that has representative from various race and religion is a far better option. it might seem a bit hard to achieve that rt. now. but it is the right way to go. Yes there are and there will be politicians that will try to use this opportunity. but there will be also good politicians( and future politicians) that will use this opportunity. How can one assume that with monarchy running in nepal there won't be another gyanendra in future??

Why are maosist so desperate of dismissing the thrown of Nepal, why is Prachanda so desperate, why is Girija so desperate. I will tell you why. Girija wants to be the president before he dies, and Parchanda wants to take over Girija, and have a direct rule upon Nepal, like in china. Totally control the country. I heard that you cannot even surf in the google in china. Is that what we want?? These maosist I spoke to this time I was in Nepal, They don't know squat, Totally illitrate, just following orders, they cannot even think for them self, and I could feel if I spoke against then they would get complete hot tempered and beat me, so I just had to act as a guy who was even more dumb then them, and make them fill that they knew a lot. Is that how we want to build up our country?? And I say have a 5 year old girl (descendent of Birendra)., as a head of the state, at least we will know that our head of the state is not corrupt at those having the powers right now. There will never be another Gynandra BECAUSE if the king or queen has no influence in politics and has no any political power, there will be no reason for another royal massacre. The massacre took place in 2001 because of the power The royal palace had in the old constituion. Use you freakin head people, don't act like those dumb ass maosist I spoke to in Nepal. Gyanendra thought he could control but he has now end up spoiling his forefathers name in Mud. Therefor why punish 200 years of Nepal's history for one man's mistake. So I Say people OF NEPAL Crown Sruti's daughter, and announce her as a Queen Of NEW NEPAL. And Investigate the murder of late royal family, and give that Child a taste of New Nepal's Justice. Let us Think wise. Mao is not from Nepal he is Chinese. And Nepal is Not China. Bring this massage of mine to these जिद्दी maosist leaders, who seems to put pressure on the other leaders threatening them on behalf of these stupid illiterate youth of nepal, who has guns on their hand instead of books and pen. Is that what we want?? I was glad that these maosist did not put youth with guns in their hands on the New shield of Nepal. THINK.... Keep our history. for our future generations sake.

am a BIG ROYALIST. There are three categories of people in Nepal: 1> Royalist: Educated, learned, wise, and who can foresee the future. The most talented and loyal. They want to work, and dedicated to make the nation prosperous. They are religious, but not extremist. 2> Democratic: People who are corrupted and scared of unemployment if King's direct rule is imposed. Will even sell their daughter, sister and mother, if they are paid--even a cup of coffee. Highly uneducated, so they chose politics as their career; they wont find jobs. 3> Maoists: Uneducated, illiterate, sheep minded, poor, hungry, and also the terrorists. Forcibly want to create communal riots, entertain in civil war, and DO NOT like to work; they rather want to rob, kill, steal, murder, rape so that they can eat. I am proud I belong to the FIRST category and I AM A ROYALIST. Jai Desh! Jai Naresh! Long live king!!!

Knig never did anything wrong. The only thing missed was he could have encountered these Maoists and Spammers on the charge of Palace massacre. It could have been a peaceful end. Jai Naresh!

Jai Nepal "I don't think king G has done any wrong to the nation" -It may be partially true. Questions is about the review of history of 237 years, kings are their role. Though Mahendra imposed a 'Panchayat rule', the development foundation in the country was laid during his regime. Overall, the kings who ruled a Nepal for a long time, could not do good. They created various power centers within their family. They always remained divided. So, people realized that King should learn a lession and respect people sovereignty. Jai Nepal

"1) no one else can be trusted. 2) to preserve my tradition and culture" (1) How can we trust king who spoke in favor of democracy for time and again but acted differently? (2) Preservation of tradition and culture is not related to the king.
