Very true raj , just like using word " nigga" lol...anyways I'm waiting here for some inputs of "anu ji" aka our own ex president's daughter!
Being myself newar, within newar " they use so many racist words among themselves going with caste" , words like syawsyaw , barey, Nya, podey, jyapu, gobhaju etc etc. This looks like never ending story and some culprit just finds the way to do politics. And it is exactly how these words are use in which accent and context.

Tone? Show me one guy from Madhesh who will be happy to hear the word "marsya", whether it is said on positive tone of negative.

Offense is more taken that given. Even I am commented as "chakka" in this society. But I cannot take a particular word as offensive. You know, in Sikkim "chhakka" is just a common term for transgender, which is taken as offensive in Nepal. In India "hijra" is a common word, not exactly to transgenders but a particular group/organization of transgenders. I have refused to take these words as offensive anyway and how much a person may cry these words have stopped making difference to me.

Lets stop taking offence. I do agree with racism in Newar community. But if we stop taking offenses, offenders won't be successful to offend us in any ways.

You can stop taking offense but can't expect every body else to do so and go on insulting people. Kudos for not being offended by the word Chhakka, I'm yet to meet a person who doesn't get offended by the word. Now acting violently while being offended is not tolerable, but you just can't insult people and expect them not to be offended.

Why use the terms that offends them?

If we go after etymology even "Mother-F***" may sound harmless. George Carlin, in a later standup, admitted that this word did not belong on his list of 7 words you can't say on TV, as it is a derivative of the word “fuck".
Marsya - in any Nepali person' cognitive dictionary is a derogatory term referring to a group of people from Terai. I am from Terai and I lived in a dera in Kathmandu. That is exactly the visual imagery of a Marsya. Doesn't take into account that I am Ganesh J. or that in offering grateful homage to Sangita Rayamahji's "All Mothers are working Mothers: A Play", I sent a letter to the editors at Kantipur dainik, who published, why we should read not only more from Sangita Rayamahji but also Eve Ensler in our colleges.Note the irony of stereotypes. To negate my own perception of how 'Marsya' is perceived by native Kathmanduites, I am trying to persuade you that reading Vagina Monologues is not a typical Marsya discourse and that I am an elite individual which is why you should respect me.
Like someone posted earlier, we're all implicit in this. Not only that we called our friends bhele, madhise, maade ( माडे ), bhote, jyapu, barmu, tapare, baje, chamaar, pakhe to label their representation of a group derogatorily, we also labelled them individually kale, baam, daante, dare, dede, bhakbhake, baans (bamboo), mote, chakka,, torpe. We are the society of unequal. This notion of everyone should get the equal opportunity no matter their caste and ethnicity did not really down on me, even though, I studied about it in my School and my College. It mostly took me to actually study and live in a Western country to actually realize how gravely wrong it was. At least that is my experience.
