As far as choosing president is concern, he /she will be president by our mandate not just because he took birth in a Shah or Ranas family. Every capable nepalese will have equal chance. He/she will have to go back for mandate in every 5 years so they will be liable to common people. As far as afghanistan is concerned it failed not because king was kicked out, but becuase Taliban ruled it autocraticaly under their dictatorship. Same is true for Iraq.

If we do not take proper action nepal will be same to. King and maoist can never come to consent and there will always be war. But if we strip both king and maoist and bring democracy back compramise can be reached.

fully agree with prajatantra. What I see here is the so called royalist can not defend their answer with logic. Rather they put obscene(like machikne) word to keep their baseless points. They say netas will sell the country to India. First the point is baseless but even if it happens this will be far better than suffer under autocratic regime. As truly pointed out by prajatantra why the prince would become a king just because he was born as a son of king? And why not a capable common nepalese people? We all have seen that country who are developed follow democratic rule. And worlds poorest country like nepal is poorest because it has seen only autocratic regime.
