Guys, Love....they say its THE bond of life...strongest emotion that a living being possess. Everyone who is in love or being loved by someone is considered to be the luckiest person on earth. Every now and then; movies, novels, stories depict the saga of true love such as that between Romeo and Juliet, Laila and Majnu....and so on... Personally I don't believe in what they say THE TRUE AND LONG LASTING or rather EVER LASTING LOVE. I have seen people falling in love one day and breaking up the very next day or sometime later...Haven't got this opportunity yet to witness TRUE LOVE. What is your opinion about true love..Is it a REALITY or just a mere MYTH?

true love exists, but it is short-lived. why do you think Romeo and Juliet, Laila and Majnu died so soon? even shakespeare did not belive that true love could last forever, which is why he had to kill R&J. there are other kinds of love. love for the fellow man, love for one's parents, siblings. love for learning, love for music. love between couples can also last, but i suspect that in most cases, its not love, but compromise and mutual agreement, which are the adhesives that binds ppl together for life. i have seen a few oldies who are happy together though. these are the lucky ones.

Quest, you cracked me up dude! But my presumptions are based upon what I have seen happening with most of the people I know who once claimed that they were in TRUE love but now believe that the bond between them and their lovers has weakened considerably and the emotion has faded over a period of time. I wonder if it was love at all, forget about its truthfulness!!!! Zalim, you made a good point out of those love sagas. But I guess what Shakespear wanted to tell by killing the lovers is that true love will indeed meet in heaven coz earth and its cruel people don't deserve such love. That's why I believe that TRUE love cannot exist in this planet.

You can not [completely] fall in love unless and until you enter into the realm of self-forgetfulness. Because self-consciousness renders you in a selfish state and is therefore antagonistic to [true] love. A complete love is, therefore, a meditative state and a person completely in love can no longer report the reality objectively. Person not in love does not know how love is for obvious reason. So basically there is no way to know whether true love is real or a myth. पिउँनेहरु ब्युँतेकै छैनन् कोसित सोधुँ स्वाद मायाको ? Nepe

Love is the water I drink when I am thirsty, but too often my glass breaks in my hand when I go to drink from it, tearing my hand open and love leaks away. But yet I always piece together the broken glass and go to drink once more.

I think everyone needs to be thrown headlong into the throes of abject heartbreak just once in their life. It'll make you enjoy the good and forgive the bad, if you don't slit your wrists first. I am hopelessly romantic about the possibility of Love, but I'm realistically cynical about the probabilities of people. Allooooo sis nice to see you smile....:D

There is no definition of true love. No one can describe exact true love. It is something tht you can only feel but it is hard to describe in words. well, that is what I think but you might have words for it.

Infatuations trigger when there is a volcanic eruption of mutual feelings between the two entities, I hear, when you simply cannot imagine living without one another for a second. Then the eruption subsides and so do the feelings. Over time, it tends to get boring, redundant and even acutely annoying at times. If you can still co-exist together during this period, you've found your true love. ITI

What is Love ? Whom you expect to love you? Why you are after this Mirrage?? One day, even if you have faith in its existence, becomes invisible as if it never existed. Yes it is a MYTH- A WHOLE PIECE MYTH. Life will teach you as you move one. YES, LOVE IS NOT REAL. THESE 4 WORDS SHOULD BE REPLACED BY "CRAP" INSTEAD.

Love.Interesting topic isn't it?Just a warning though we seem to have confined this sacred word or rather feelings within a narrow chutes of romantic feelings between two opposite sexes here.Love has no definition. It quitely resides in eternity but we humans ruthlessly try to give birth to narrow realms and impose our own definition based on our limited human experiences. Like god love too is omnipresent.Isn't it love for something your deepest passion born in your mind that gave birth to this thread.A true love is a rare event. It is a combination of strong passion and unparallel dedication. It is selfless and naive in character.Love reflects its brightness in many ways.In mother's face while taking care of her baby.In a face of a warrior who passionately combats for the cause of righteousness and grounds itself in a battlefield. In a face of a devotee who has surrendered itself to the divine leaving back his real physical self.Romantic love between two young lovers it is a rare event and it only exists in our utopian loving romantic side of a brain.Selfless dedication is true love.Romance to cherish between two young love well its as good as shangri-la. Lovers don't get offended... Titanic sank long time ago.Leonardo and Katie are still here and playing movies.... Mero philosophy re kya:)
