Hi All, I'm planning to learn data modeling and design the database using SQL 2005. I've only basic knowledge like ER diagrams, entity relationships etc. I would appreciate any guidance like information on where to start with or links for ebooks or tutorials on tools like ERwin etc. Thanks

To start with, I think ...http://www.learndatamodeling.com/ will be helpful for the data modeling and other general concepts. For SQL server 2005 resources, you can follow the following links- http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms130214(SQL.90).aspx. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/default.aspx There are lot of other resources on the net. The only thing I could suggest is- don't go for many resources in the beginning, as the chances are very high that you could get confused. Just follow one or two resources in the beginning. Hope this will help.

Hi Balbahadur/temptations, Thanks for your support. I think at least I have something to move forward with. Balbahadur- Just to let you know its about a 6 plus months long project in a healthcare sector. I don't think practically its feasible to work together. However, I will definitely let you know as I move forward. Thanks
